This policy explains what cookies are, which ones latrikos.com uses and how you can manage them, in compliance with Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE (Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce) and the GDPR, and in line with the guide on the use of cookies published by the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD, the Spanish Data Protection Authority).

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on the user's device when they visit it. Among other things, they make it possible to remember preferences, recognise the user on subsequent visits and obtain information about how the site is used.

2. Types of cookies used by this site

Latrikos distinguishes two types of cookies according to their purpose and legal basis:

Technical or necessary cookies: essential for the basic operation of the site. They do not require consent, in accordance with Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE. This is the case of the cookie that remembers the consent preference indicated in the banner.
Analytics or third-party cookies: these make it possible to measure use of the site (pages viewed, traffic source, time spent) through Google Analytics. They require the user's prior consent. The Google Analytics script and any analytics cookie are not loaded until the user clicks "Accept all" in the cookie banner; if the user rejects them or makes no choice, these cookies remain blocked.

3. Details of the cookies used

latrikos.consent (technical/necessary) — Provider: first party. Purpose: to store the user's decision on the cookie banner (accept or reject), so that it is not shown again on every visit. Approximate duration: 12 months. Does not require consent.
_ga (analytics) — Provider: Google (Google Analytics). Purpose: to distinguish users in order to generate aggregate statistics on use of the site. Approximate duration: 2 years. Requires prior consent.
_ga_<ID> (analytics) — Provider: Google (Google Analytics). Purpose: to keep the session state. Approximate duration: 2 years. Requires prior consent.

The exact names and durations may vary depending on the version of Google Analytics deployed.

4. How to manage or withdraw consent

You can accept or reject analytics cookies in the consent banner shown when you access the site. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the"Cookie settings" link in the footer, which reopens the banner. If you reject analytics cookies after having accepted them, the Google Analytics cookies already set are removed and your use of the site is no longer measured.

You can also delete the latrikos.consent cookie (or all of the site's cookies) from your browser settings, which will cause the banner to be shown again on your next visit so that you can choose again.
